Save the Storks is a non-profit pro-life organization that supports pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) in the United States. It is a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). Its mission is to revolutionize the meaning of pro-life by empowering women, helping babies and providing medical services through affiliate medically licensed PRCs.

Save the Storks does not receive any government funding and is not aligned with any political party. All funding is provided by donors.[3]

History

Save the Storks was formed in 2011 by husband-wife duo Joe Baker and Ann Baker.[4] Based in Colorado Springs,[5] the organization has built 47 mobile medical units[2] and have saved 5,000+ lives, as of December 2018.[6][7] The organization equips affiliate PRCs with training, grants and medical mobile units, called Stork Buses to effectively connect with and support abortion-vulnerable women in their communities.[8] Stork Buses are staffed by licensed medical professionals according to local county and state laws, and provide proper medical care, experienced mentors and practical assistance with local and state services that help women and their babies.

Save the Storks participated at the 2019 March for Life in Washington DC and other cities around the United States.[9][10] The second annual Stork Charity Ball took place in Washington DC in January, 2019. Featured speakers included Eric Metaxas, Allie Stuckey, Bob Lenz and Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence.[11][12]
