Robert Banuelos was the Command Master Chief at the Hospital at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, when he was suspended in August 2013, so authorities could conduct an inquiry into allegations of "personal misconduct".[1] Through a civilian lawyer in Washington DC Banuelos has protested that his superiors made public that he was being investigated, prior to the investigation running to its conclusion.[2]

The nature of the allegations against Banuelos have not made public.[2] He has been assigned to other duties.
