Pallavi Sinha (born 25th Oct. 1979) is an Indian social entrepreneur and worker who co-founded Nav Astitva Foundation, a non-profit to educate people around the world on menstruation in Bihar India, become recognised for their work in the field of menstruation.[1][2]

Early Life

Pallavi Sinha was born in Patna, Bihar on 25th Oct. 1979 and brought up to Prof. Jagdish Prasad Sinha and Punam Sinha in Patna, raised in a middle class family.[3] She did her schooling from St. Josephs Convent High School Patna and completed her intermediate from Magadh Mahila College, Patna University in 1998.She earned her Bachelor in Computer Application Degree from Patna Womens College in 2002.[4]

Career

She has co-founded Nav Astitva Foundation in March 2012 along with Amrita Singh, which focuses on developing the potential of women[5] and girls to drive long lasting equitable changes, strategically emphasizing on promoting quality healthcare, inclusive education, gender equitable and sustainable livelihood opportunities and cleanliness.[6] Their efforts are focused to fight against underlying causes of poverty and ensuring a life of dignity for all women and girls from the most marginalized and vulnerable communities, especially among Dalit’s and Adivasis.[7][8]

In March 2012 with a vision to providing universal education and healthcare education services to the underprivileged there by changing their lives forever. The main areas of focus are Children, Destitute Women, Senior Citizens, Environment, Health and Hygiene.[9][10]
