In 2020 the western terminus of Toronto's Eglinton Crosstown LRT is scheduled to be opened on the northeast corner of Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue, to be tentatively named the Mount Dennis LRT Station.[1]

Mount Dennis was the name of a small municipality, and is still the name of the neighbourhood surrounding the station. Kodak operated a a large facility in Mount Dennis from 1918 to 2006. The former Kodak campus will be rebuilt as a transit complex, incorporating the LRT station, an attached 15 bay bus terminal, a commuter train terminal, and the maintenance and storage facilities for the LRT rolling stock. Provision has been made to add a new GO Station at Eglinton, connecting to the LRT station.[2][3][4][5][6] The Mount Dennis LRT Station is also planned to have 15 bus bays, 6 of which are large enough for longer articulated buses.[7]

For almost a century Kodak operated a large facility in Mount Dennis.[1]

Station design

A draft prepared on April 10, 2013, established four designs for the station.[7] In all the designs the LRT station platform will be 150 meters long—long enough for extended trainsets. Two designs placed the bus platform on the north side of Eglinton, accessed through a 230 metre pedestrian tunnel. In the other two designs the bus platform(s) were on the south side of Eglinton, access through a 260 metre pedestrian tunnel.
