Animated series

In Robots in Disguise, Micronus-voiced by Adrian Pasdar-oversees Optimus Prime's training in the Realm of the Primes in preparation for his battle with Megatronus. Condescending and mocking, he belittles Optimus' efforts and willingly subjects him to various ordeals in the name of preparing him for his coming task. Even when Optimus completed the tasks assigned to him, Micronus was quick to criticize the slightest error. When Megatronus' arrival on Earth became imminent, Micronus brought Optimus before Vector Prime and four other members of the Thirteen to receive portions of their Sparks to increase his power.

Following Megatronus' apparent demise Micronus reappeared to reclaim the power of the Primes from Optimus, which left him drastically weakened, though Micronus believed he would recover.

Note: Micronus Prime Japanese voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue also provides the voice for the Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos character Rom Stol.

Books

In Transformers: The Covenant of Primus, Micronus was created as one of the Thirteen and joined in the battle against Unicron. He could add his strength to that of his brethren, and would often do so for Solus Prime when she was in the process of creating. He also enjoyed close connections with Megatronus and Onyx Prime, to the point that he accompanied the latter into the Well of AllSparks after his brother was mortally wounded during the War of the Primes.
