Lio Junior is a Maximal from the Transformers franchise, specifically the Beast Wars Second anime.

History

Animated series

Lio Junior was born from the Matrix within Lio Convoy after it was exposed to a positive form of Angolmois, and considers himself to be Lio Convoy's son. He is one of three components of the second Magnaboss, with the other two being Skywarp and Santon.

In the conclusion of the series Lio Junior and Lio Convoy fuse together into a more powerful form.

IDW Publishing

The Beast Wars Sourcebook from IDW Publishing reveals that Lio Junior and his teammates developed their combined form in tribute to that taken by the three members of the Primal Council.
