Leozack is a fictional character from the Transformers series. Introduced in 1989, he is an evil Decepticon and leader of the Beast Force combiner group. The first toy for Leozack was only released in Japan, while the second one was an exclusive to the BotCon 2009 Transformers convention.

Transformers: Generation 1

Leozack transforms into a green-and-grey fighter jet. He functions as Decepticon Emperor Deszaras' right-hand man and is much more competent than the bumbling leader of the Dinoforce. His breastplate transforms into a mechanical lion. He combines with his fellow Breast Force members to form Liokaiser. He has a twin sister named Lyzack, who was introduced in the Transformers: Victory manga.

Reception

The Breast Force was named one of the top Unfortunately Named Transformers by Topless Robot in 2009.[1]

Fictional biography

Timelines: Consumed by a hunger for self-improvement, Leozack was one of the first Decepticons to volunteer for Skyquake's experimental flight refit. While he is a mere foot soldier in Megatron's revolution, and currently under the direct command of Skyquake, Leozack has greater ambitions. Through discipline and cunning, he hopes to one day rule the Decepticons. To this end he has already begun plotting, hoping to lure other Decepticons to his side. In combat, Leozack is an expert martial artists and aerial combatant. Experimental combat upgrades give him immense firepower, but at the cost of direct control of his weapons and transformation system. His "Ultimate Technique," the jet attack, unleashes vast destruction but leaves him almost completely drained of energy. In addition, he often uses melodrama to keep his foes off-balance during combat.

Animated series

Leozack in the Transformers: Victory series

Leozack is the first member of the Breast Force to appear in the Transformers: Victory animated series. Leozack was summoned by Deathsaurus to bolster his forces in preparation for their campaign against the Earth. Leozack was put in charge of the first plan, which involved the Dinoforce attacking the Autobots' base while Leozack himself intended to confront Star Saber. The Dinoforce went about their task and drew Star Saber out, and both Leozack and Deathsaurus, watching the conflict from afar on the Thunder Arrow, were taken aback to see the Autobot leader piloting the V-Star battlecraft, which they had never seen before. Leozack was about to head out to battle Star Saber, but Deathsaurus suggested he hold back and observe this new turn of events instead. Leozack did so, and rather predictably, the Dinoforce were defeated.

The Breast Force appears in episode 4, "Unite!! Multiforce" The latest Breast Force warriors -- Jaguar (Transformers), Drillhorn and Killbison -- along with Leozack and the Dinoforce made plan to attack an energy complex. Meanwhile, Jan gets a physics lesson from the Multiforce about fulcrums. Suddenly, at the plant, the Decepticons strike from the air and the sea with the Dinoforce while the Breast Force members hide in the sand in ambush. The Autobot Multiforce spot the destruction from afar and battle the Dinoforce on even terms until they form Dinoking. Jan informs the other Autobots that there is danger so Star Saber and the Brainmasters head out to investigate. Just as things start looking bad, the Multiforce merge to form Landcross to do battle with Dinoking. Star Saber arrives to help Landcross take on Dinoking while the Brainmasters battle Killbison and Jaguar, driving away the Decepticons.[2]

Leozack appears in episode 7, "Explosion!! The Energy Base" where the Decepticons build a new base in the jungles of South America to store energy. Machtackle and Dashtacker inform Star Saber of the new base. Wingwaver suggests he take the other Multiforce members there to investigate, but Star Saber insists the Blacker lead them. Wingwaver chafes at how Blacker treats him like a kid. Transported to the jungle by Galaxy Shuttle Blacker leads the Multiforce to their target, but they are spotted by Yokuryu, who calls in the rest of the Dinoforce. Blacker leads the Decepticons away and sends the Multiforce to contact Star Saber for backup. Wingwaver sends Machtackle and Dashtacker back to Galaxy Shuttle, but refuses to leave Blacker behind. Worried about the lack of contact, Star Saber flies to South America to join them. As Blacker is being overpowered by the Dinoforce, Wingwaver comes to his rescue. The Decepticons decide to escape with the energy they have, but Star Saber arrives to stop them. Deathsaurus orders the Decepticons to leave the energy behind and instead blow it up, hoping to destroy the Autobots with it, but Star Saber is able to defeat Leozack before the Decepticon can set off the explosion. The Autobots then return to their base in Galaxy Shuttle.[3]

Shortly after rescuing Gaihawk, Leozack reveals to the other Breast Force members (save Hellbat) that he plans to replace the untrustworthy Hellbat with Deathcobra. Leozack mentions that he and Deathcobra had worked together in the past, and that the new arrival would be a much more reliable teammate than Hellbat. Hellbat (having spied on the others and learned of the plan) attempts to convince Deathcobra to go away. Unluckily for him Deathcobra bluntly refuses, determined to keep his word and meet with his old friend Leozack. Following an altercation, Hellbat accidentally kills Deathcobra and frames the Autobots. When Star Saber arrives shortly after Hellbat slew Deathcobra, Leozack furiously orders the team to unleash their secret weapon: their combined form Liokaiser. Liokaiser nearly killed Star Saber, but the arrival of God Ginrai was just barely enough to force the combiner to retreat.

In episode 23, "Fight to the Death!! Antarctic Battle", the Breast Force drains energy from the Antarctic, melting the polar ice. The Multiforce aid people trapped in a flood in South America when Star Saber orders them to meet him at a United Nations research base in the Antarctic. Wing and Mach arrive first and are confronted by Liokaiser. Waver tows in the rest of Multiforce by sea and despite forming Landcross they are outclassed by Liokaiser’s ability to turn invisible. Star Saber and Galaxy Shuttle arrive to help in the fight as Jan, Stakeout and Seawatch help evacuate the human scientists from the U.N. base. Liokaiser continues to best the Autobots in battle thanks to his ability to turn invisible, but as the Decepticon gestalt is about to finish off Victory Saber, Deathsaurus steps in and insists that he have a hand in the demise of his enemy. Star Saber takes the opportunity to take the battle to the air, matching Deathsaurus’ deadly wings with his skill. Galaxy Shuttle takes out the Decepticon energy collector with an energy blast and the Decepticons retreat in the Thunder Arrow. The humans scientists thank the Autobots for their help.[4]

The Breast Force appears in episode 24 "Crisis! Ambush in the Desert." Greatshot patrols the galaxy for Decepticons and comes to Earth where he spots the Decepticon ship Thunder Arrow. The Dinoforce attack an oil field in Saudi Arabia for its energy. When the Autobots arrive they are ambushed by the Breast Force. The Autobot Brainmasters form Road Caesar, but it doesn't help. Greatshot comes to the rescue as Star Saber calls for help. Deathsaurus arrives to take his anger out on Greatshot. Blacker injures himself saving Greatshot from an attack. Star Saber and Greatshot take on Deathsaurus and the Breast Force. The Breast Force retreats when they became too injured to combine.

In episode 25 "A Deadly Battle" Blacker recovers at the Autobot Shuttle Base under the care of the Rescue Patrol. God Ginrai contacts Star Saber from space wanting to know about Blacker's injuries and offering to help if the Autobots on Earth need him. In the Thunder Arrow the Decepticons plan their next mission, with member of Breast Force wanting revenge on Greatshot and Deathsaurus closely watching Leozack. The Breast Force are sent to attack an Autobot garrison in Asia. Star Saber receives an SOS from the garrison orders the Brainmasters to remain at the base as he, the Rescue Patrol and Galaxy Shuttle respond. Blacker suspects the Autobot left without him and finds it shameful. The Breast Force focus their attacks on Star Saber and get the best of him. Blacker orders Braver and Laster to join in the fight, leaving him to protect the Shuttle Base. Liokaiser leads Star Saber into a trap where Deathsaurus is waiting. Realizing Star Saber is in danger Jan and Stakeout send an SOS, hoping Greatshot will answer. As Deathsaurus goes to deliver a fatal blow to Star Saber with his cannon God Ginrai arrives to block the blast. All the combatants are injured in the fighting and with the arrival of Braver and Laster the Decepticons flee. God Ginrai's wounds are severe and he collapses.

Liokaiser continued to be a major threat to the Autobots until he met his match in Victory Saber. In the final battle, he meets his demise when he is hurled by Victory Leo into a huge energy cannon and blasted into deep space.
