Joilson Melo is a Brazilian businessman, legal activist, musician and DJ. [4] [5] He came to public attention after he initiated a legal battle against the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso.[6][7]

Career

In 2019, Melo initiated a legal battle against the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso, saying that anyone regardless of if they have an active lawyer representing them or not, should be allowed to file court cases electronically so long as they have a Brazilian certificate.[8] The request was filed with the National Justice Council (CNJ), the regulatory body of all Courts of Justice in Brazil.[9]

The collegiate, unanimousiy in the 70th Virtual Session, followed the vote of Minister Humberto Martins, national magistrate of Justice.[10] With this request made by Joilson Melo, the minister ordered the Court of Justice of Mato Grosso (TJMT) to enable the petition by the citizen who holds the digital certificate within the scope of special civil courts and without the need to be assisted by a lawyer. [11]

He has already participated in several movements that have raised awareness of illegal practices throughout Brazil.[12]

Music career

In 2022 he released an Electronic music album called Genesis Mystery this album was produced and recorded in the year 2021, and contains 13 tracks with mix of drums, bass, electronic guitars, and other instruments. [13] [14] [15]

Genesis Mystery has been released on various music streaming platforms like YouTube, Deezer, Spotify, Tidal and many others. [16] [17]

The last single released by him under the name Uplifting Dramatic Choirs, he was creating using a wide range of noises, captured by microphones to sounds generated by electronic oscillators, this single in a short time has surpassed more than 1 million plays on Spotify. [18] [19]

International repercussion

He is becoming the most promising young indie artists from Brazil. Ever since he launched his debut musical album Genesis Mystery, he's now become a household name among his fans and followers. [20]
