Hairbond United Kingdom is a British, multinational award-winning brand that is engaged in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of premium quality hairstyling products.[1]

More commonly known as “Hairbond”, the family-run company is headquartered near Blackpool, United Kingdom, in the Lancashire area.[2][3]

History

Hairbond is one of the world's largest suppliers of premium hair styling products and a major manufacturer of different types of hair styling wax, pomade, putty, gel, toffee, cement, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair cream, clay, and many other forms of hair styling shapers including professional sea salt spray, hair primers and hair masks.[4]

Hairbond claims their products are all a result of progression, innovation, and expression and that they only use the best ingredients to formulate professional products that achieve true creativity and style.[5]

The company was founded in October 2008 by a business entrepreneur and professional hairstylist, Scott Michaels. After launching, Hairbond quickly became a global phenomenon in men's hair care.[6]

Within their first five years of business, Hairbond had record-breaking success as the most popular and most talked-about men’s hairstyling brand on the Internet. During the brand’s global expansion the Hairbond team has attended more than 50 trade shows alongside brand owner, Scott Michaels.

Whilst being heavily marketed by YouTube publishers. Hairbond was the first hair styling brand to achieve over 2 million views by being featured in a single video. Since launching, online views of Hairbond videos have reached over 50 million views.

Following the online success, the Hairbond brand quickly became synonymous with celebrity and professional footballer endorsement marketing creating distribution to thousands of professional hair salons and barbershops around the world.

Exported worldwide via a network of distributors in every continent, catering to brand demand in more than 30 countries, Hairbond United Kingdom products are widely available to consumers via professional hair salons, barbershops, bricks, and mortar outlets as well as online retailers and in local digital marketplaces. “Our Word is Our Bond” is the promise Hairbond makes in their slogan.

In June 2013 Hairbond United Kingdom commercially teamed up with Lancashire and England Cricketer, fast pace bowler “Jimmy” James Anderson as Hairbond’s first celebrity brand ambassador.

In January 2014 the Liverpool FC number one goalkeeper, Simon Mignolet enrolled as the brand’s new celebrity sporting ambassador.

Following more successful marketing a surge of Premier League footballers has since added their name to the list of players backing the footballer's hairstyling trend.

In 2016 Leicester City Premier League winners Jamie Vardy and Christian Fuchs celebrate with their Hairbond endorsement.

In 2018, the Iceland National Football Team qualified for the first time in history to take place in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The team traveled to Russia for the competition kitted out with Hairbond products, lead by team captain Aron Gunnarsson.

Commonly referred to as the “Premier League of Hair Styling Products”, Hairbond has since received support from a long list of International players including England’s striker Jamie Vardy, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and midfielders Harry Winks, James Ward-Prowse, and Jack Grealish.
