Dhruv Verma
Dhruv Verma (born 12th September 1997) is an Indian actor, born and brought up in Mumbai.[1] He is known as the lead actor for the upcoming Bollywood movie No Means No in which he will make his acting debut.[2]
Education
Dhruv completed his schooling in South Mumbai from the Cathedral and John Connon School. In his final years Dhruv read the curriculum of Humanities which included Sociology, Psychology and Economics as well. During school life, he was actively involved in cultural activities such as drama, elocution and debates both in Hindi and English. He graduated with a specialization in Business Management and Marketing from HR College of Commerce and Economics. In college too, Dhruv displayed Active Participation in Cultural activities. He was part of the cultural council and participated in Pan India recognisable Cultural Festivals such as Malhar by Xaviers College, Kaleidoscope by Sophia’s college, WAVES by BITS Pilani Goa and many more.[3]
Personal Life
Dhruv Verma’s father, Mr. Vikash Verma,[1] is a Director and Producer with production house, G-7 Films[2][4] and Dhruv’s mother, Mrs. Sonali Verma, from Gujrat, comes from a commercial arts background.
Career
At the age of 24, Dhruv is going to make his acting debut, cast as lead in Vikash Verma’s No Means No (film), the first Indo-Polish feature film project between the two countries.[5][6] His next movie, The Good Maharaja, based on a true story of World War II is in production currently.[7][8]
Training
Dhruv received training in Krav Maga (Israeli Fighting style developed for the army) and Jyrki Sario Defendo (Defensive Fighting Style developed for the European police) and boxing in Poland along with courses in gun shooting. [9] Dhruv received training in the usage and technique different handguns, rifles and shotguns. Now he will be training for sniper techniques for his role in the Good Maharaja.[10] Dhruv Verma trained for polo and horse riding in the amateur riders club in Mahalaxmi racecourse. Further training he undertook in the Akademia Jazdy Konnej Solka of Poland where he completed the course and was made a member of the Polish Equestrian Federation.[11]
