America's Next Great Trainer was to have been a reality TV series which followed a stable of trainers who competed to see who could help their clients improve their fitness.[1] Impresario Rob Fletcher told listeners to "Think of it as American Idol for fitness trainers."[2][3]

Fletcher, a fixture in the world of fitness training, said he secured agreement from Harley Davidson and other firms, that they were interested in sponsoring the series.[1] He claims that he had an agreement with another prominent fitness trainer, Todd Durkin, to serve as one of the show's hosts.[4] He claims that Durkin had signed a non-disclosure agreement, but later shopped the idea for the show himself. Fletcher also approached Hollywood insiders, including Sylvester Stallone, for further support to develop the series.[5]

Police officer and fitness expert Samantha Sepulveda appeared in a 2014 promotional video for the series.[6]

He later sued Stallone, Durkin, and others associates, when they introduced the TV series Strong, which he claimed was "startlingly similar" to his own proposals.[7][8][9][10][5][4][11][12][13]
