Rom, Reina, Jim and Battleflex arrive in Iron City to look for a friend of Jim's named Vilion but are ambushed by the locals. Rom battles Vilion while Jim and Reina find Jet and Drill. Jet helps subdue Vilion, who explains the town is under constant attack from a gang led by someone with the same fighting style as Rom. While they're talking the gang strikes the town again. The travelers confront them and Jim recognizes the leader of the gang as Bug Newman, a former student of Kirai Stol. However, he is using the lethal and forbidden Murderous Knife technique and defeats Rom, nearly killing him.

Rom wakes in the night, sneaks out while everyone is asleep and receives a vision from Kirai imparting advice on how to beat Bug. Meanwhile Bug raids the town's quarry. Jet and Vilion confront him and Bug demands a showdown with Rom. His gang has been joined by the Gandora Devil Commander Iron Sand who takes Vilion hostage. Having meditated and realized how to beat Bug, Rom arrives - summoning Blade Dragon and freeing Vilion. Bug combines with Iron Sand and buries Blade Dragon, but Rom summons Vikung-Fu to destroy Iron Sand. A defeated Bug is captured.

  • Battleflex appears at the beginning of the episode driving Rom to Iron Town, but disappears after they are attacked, never returning in this episode.
  • Rom Stol's lecture this week is about "occurrences". Supercar Robo doesn't deserve to know Rom's name.

  • Blade Dragon has a pose with the Shield of Justice added to the end of his summoning scene. Blade Dragon carries the shield when he rescues Vilion, but drops the shield when fighting Bug.
  • Iron Sand stands about 18 feet tall. He breaks apart into sand when first attacked, but then reforms and draws Bug Newman inside him. He can magnetize an opponent, and summon Killer Double Swords.
  • The character of Bug Newman may be inside joke. He is voiced by the same voice actor who provided the for the Transformers character Bumblebee in Japan.
