D.I.A. Commander is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to the Diaclone Powered Convoy made by FansProject in 2009.

FansProject

The D.I.A. Commander armor is a third-party Transformer accessory created by FansProject and released exclusively in Japan. He is an homage to the Diaclone Powered Convoy toy, although he is colored differently from Powered Commander, who is a more expensive convention exclusive.

In his fiction D.I.A. Commander was created on Cybertron after the departure of the Ark as part of the Defense Intelligence Agency Clone program.

Development

When TFC Toys introduced their TFC-005 Gear of War set one of the promotional photos they released of the set was of D.I.A. Commander holding the gun.[1]

An unlicensed reproduction of the toy has been released in regular colors and with translucent plastic.

Reception

The [email protected] podcast for May 14th, 2009 selected the drama over the release of D.I.A. Commander and Powered Commander as one of it's topics.[2]
