Micromasters are a type of Transformer introduced late in the Generation 1 line. These were small Transformers, usually sold in packs of 4 or 6 in the USA, or as companions to larger Transformers in Japan. They were a direct answer to the popularity of the Micro-Machines toy line.

Although Micromasters never appeared in the U.S. Transformers television series, they did appear in the comics and in the Japanese television series.

Micromasters were also released in the Transformers: Universe toy line, recolors of Japanese exclusive combiners which never appeared in the U.S.

Later Fun Publications started releasing Mini-Con as Micromasters.
