Badbat is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Ratbat made by Keith's Fantasy Club in 2013.

Keith's Fantasy Club

Badbat is an homage to the Decepticon Ratbat. He turns from robotic bat to microcassette tape.

According to his tech spec numbers Badbat very intelligent and skilled. He also has greater than average courage. His strength, speed, endurance and firepower are below below average. His tech spec numbers are identical to Generation 1 Ratbat.

Badbat should not be confused with his mirror universe counterpart Justice Badbat.

Other third-party Transformers inspired by Ratbat include Perfect Effect Kingbat.

Development

In October 2013 Big Bad Toy Store posted pictures and preorders of Mugan Vox and Badbat.[1]

Mugan Vox and Badbat were released in December 2013.

In March 2014 Big Bad Toy Store announced preorders for Badbat Gold Radar LE and Badbat Silver Radar LE.

Badbat Gold Radar LE and Badbat Silver Radar LE were released in April 2014.

Reprolabels released a set of stickers for Badbat in December 2015.

Fictional biography

Bad Bat exists in two universes. In one he is still a free agent, trying to survive the Clan warfare destroying the planet. In the other he is bound to Vox, trapped in a cassette form and vowing to one day be free.

Comics

Badbat appears in the Citizen Stack pack-in comic story I Can Deal With This Now!. Citizen Stack and Krank free Badbat and others from the Sky Pirates prison.[6]
