In response to the 2019/20 Australian bushfire crisis, Backpacker Job Board offered support to those towns affected. The site launched a new disaster relief service allowing impacted communities find volunteer workers to help with the rebuild effort. Fees for the use of this service were waived allowing community groups to recruit staff for free.
