Aurora is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Searchlight made by Toyworld in 2013.

Toyworld
Aurora is a third-party Transformer who turns into a car. He is an homage to the 1987 Transformers character Searchlight.
Aurora combines with Grind Rod, Trace and his other team members to form a giant robot.
Development
Toyword announced Aurora on their web site in September 2012.[1]
In January 2013 Big Bad Toy Store announced open preorders for Aurora. They estimated its release in the first quarter of 2013.[2]
Aurora was released in May 2013.
Reception
The [email protected] podcast for September 20th, 2012 selected pictures of Aurora as one of the New Picture Picks.[3]
In the Fwooshcast podcast for June 23rd, 2013 one of the hosts talked about the Toyworld Aurora he recently purchased.[4]
The Retro Robot Radio podcast for August 2nd, 2014 covered the release the oversized Aurora, Grind Rod and Trace in the news.[5]
