Mythic Legions

Queen Artemyss Silverchord is a fictional character in Mythic Legions series. She is the leader of Xylona's Flock, an assembly of fighters who gain their powers from and help protect the elements of nature that give life to the people of Mythoss. She carries Xylona's Silverchord, a staghorn longbow able to fire magically-charged elemental arrows. She sometimes rides a gryphon as a mount.

The Artemyss Silverchord toy was funded by the second Mythic Legions Action Figures Kickstarter campaign in 2017. She unlocked as a stretch goal when they raised over $285,000 in pledges and was available as a $40 add-on for US backers. Because of stretch goals in the campaign that were unlocked she was given recolors of the short sword and quiver from the Elf Weapon Pack.[1]

Preorders for the Illythia wave, which included Atremyss Silverchord 2, went up on November 13th, 2020.

Fictional biography

The crown has often weighed heavily on the brow of Artemyss Silverchord, the leader of Xylona’s Flock. Orphaned at the hands of Vampire assassins when she was five years old, she was raised by her uncle Aristaeus and her Minotaur protector Asterionn. This regal warrior has spent a lifetime training to protect her people and uphold her family’s legacy. Leading her faction and serving as queen have given Artemyss a wisdom that belies her young age... and although she is tough and battle hardened, her vibrant optimism and her vision of a world free of war and despair remain an inspiration to all.

The biography for Faunus and Lord Aydon state they are advisors to the queen.

The biography for Myria Goldenbranch states she sent with an army of Whisperling soldiers to aid Queen Artemyss with a mission to surprise the dark forces that threaten all of Elven-kind.

The biography for Thistlethorn says he serves Queen Artemyss Silverchord as guardian of Castle Silverhorn’s greatest treasures including the Silverchord bow.

The biography for Malachi Cinderhorn mentions his hatred for the queen of elves.

Artemyss Silverchord first appeared in Mythic Legions Book 1. She was at Silverhorn Castle when assassins lead by Skapular the Cryptbreaker attacked. Although she killed several Urkku with arrows, Skapular got the drop on her. Facing a standoff, the skeleton offered to leave peacefully after he received a kiss from the queen. Although disgusted, she granted him the boon. Once he left the queen learned the assassins had seemed to target troubadour in the attack. She vowed to find out the truth behind the their actions, and was joined on her quest by Asterionn, Orn Steelhide and Otho. A biography for Artemyss Silverchord also appeared in the book.

Nate Baertsch did a piece of art depicting Artemyss Silverchord, Herra Serpenspire and Jorund Runeshaper together in the woods, with what may have been Faunus and B'alam.
