Aleshia Cowser Jackson is an American Film and Television Producer, Director,[ [Writer]]. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia and is most known for her original films The Millennial (2017) Bricked (2018), and Hunther (2019).

Early life

Aleshia Cowser Jackson was born in Atlanta, GA. In 2007, Cowser Jackson graduated from Riverdale High School. She attended Georgia State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts for Film & Television Production in 2011.

Career

In 2009 Cowser worked as the Media Coordinator at Georgia State University's Office of Civic Engagement where she focused on bringing exposure to community outreach organizations through media content. Cowser emerged on to the film scene in 2010 when she started as an intern for AMC's The Walking Dead. In 2011, Cowser Jackson worked at Tyler Perry Studios for a short period time before redirected her focus to the emerging world of independent filmmaking. In 2012, she became the production manager for Studio 11 Films. In 2014, Aleshia co-founded Eyeam Cinema alongside Marques Trusoul. In 2017, Cowser Jackson wrote and produced The Millennial directed by Khalil Kain and starring Obba Babbatubè, Terri J. Vaugn, Khalil Kain, and Erica Mena. The film follows a millennial who recently receives his master' degree from a prestigious university and sets out to pursue a career in his chosen field only to find out it's not the plain sailing he imagined. |-In 2018, Cowser Jackson wrote, produced, and directed Bricked, starring Terrence TC Carson. The film follows a high school grad finds himself in turmoil within his family as he battles coping with Bipolar disorder and gained notoriety for its push to bring more awareness to mental health. During the film's limited theatrical release Cowser Jackson partnered with various chapters of the National Alliance on Mental Heath to provide resources and support to those impacted by the film. See also partnered with various therapists who offered free and discounted services to patrons of the movie. In 2019, Cowser Jackson wrote, produced, and directed Hunther, starring April Parker Jones and Hassan Johnson. The film follows a newly wed who plots to leave her husband after learning that he touches her daughter inappropriately. The film was acquired and distributed by Buffalo 8 in 2021 and released as a Prime Video exclusive. In 2020 she produced and directed, Dating Hell, a television film which released on Lifetime Movie Network.

In April 2021 Cowser Jackson married sound mixer and engineer Corey Ray Jackson.
