War Panther is a third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Rampage created by Unique Toys. He turns from humanoid robot to robotic panther and becomes the right arm of War Lord.
Solicitations for War Panther from Robot Kingdom have refered to his name as "Violence". In the story Re-Evolution his name is spelled "War-Panther".
Development
The Beasticons are based on Takara art of Predaking that was printed in Comic Bon Bon magazine and a custom created by TFW2005 member rosedjs.[1]
Unique Toys teased War Panther in an image with a motto on their Facebook page in December 2012.[2]
Reception
The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for February 27th, 2013 discussed the combined form of War Lord as part of their Third Party Roundup.[3]
The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for May 13th, 2013 discussed Unique Toys War Lord vs. Mastermind Creations Feral Rex.[4]
The moonbase2 podcast for May 14th, 2013 covered prototype images War Panther in the news. The hosts thought that War Panthers' design was superior to the Mastermind Creations Rampage homage.[5]
Comics
War Panther appeared in the 2013 story Re-Evolution by David Harland. In the story War Bison, War Panther and War Rhino discovered they were being spied on by Ironpaw.
