A business entity is an organisation that sells products or services, often with the intent of making a profit.

Some examples include:

  • Ltd (Private company limited by shares)
  • PLC (Public limited company)
  • LLP (Limited liability partnership)
  • NFP (Not for profit company) Any surplas profit is re-invested back into the company and its services.
