Triple Jim is a fictional character from the Machine Robo series. He is a heroic Machine Robo from the Jet Tribe introduced in 1986 for Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos.

Machine Robo

A member of the Jet Tribe, Triple Jim transforms into car or helicopter and stands 9 feet 9 inches tall. He was born in Iron City, and his childhood friend was Vilion the Drill Heli. He is the personal caretaker of Reina Stol, and good friends with her brother Rom Stol, and their mutual friends Blue Jet and Rod Drill.

Animated series

Triple Jim in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos episode #1, "Rising Storm! The Fighting Style of Justice!"

Triple Jim Rod one of the main characters in the animated series Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos. He first appeared in episode #1, "Rising Storm! The Fighting Style of Justice!". He and Reina were rescued by Blue Jet, Rod Drill amd Rom Stol from Devil Satan 6.[1]

In episode #19, "Race to the Death!" Triple Jim watched the annual race of Momo, along side Reina and Jet.[2]

Triple Jim appeared in episode #27, "The Magic Mountain Knight Maskrock". In the episode he was part of a Yamilan City volunteer group lead by Rom Stol that went to retrieve the cure for Gandora rust poison gas which has effected Reina and some school children. Jim gave Roda lift when they flew off for their mission.[3]

In episode #28, "Tough Trailer - 10 Seconds to Detonation" Triple Jim was present in Yamalin City during a Gandora that lead to the city's core computer starting a self-destruct countdown. The Countdown was stopped at the last moment by Rod Drill.[4]

Triple Jim first appeared in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos episode #35, "The Secret of the Jewel People". In the episode Rubyman was trapped in Devil's Cave and sent Magnarock for help. Magnarock returned with Reina, Pro Truck Racer, Rod Drill, Rom Stol and Triple Jim, who freed him. Outside the cave they were confronted by Gandora forces lead by Diondora. She promised not to harm the other if Rubyman went with her. Although Rubyman agreed to go for the sake of the others, Blue Jet arrived with reinforcements and helped them overcome the Gandora.[5]

In episode #41, "Power Riser - Break Through the Enemy" when Rom attempts to leave in his Power Riser suit to take on the Gandora he is joined by many of his allies, including Bike Robo, Blue Jet, Kenpo Robo, Reina, Rod Drill and Triple Jim.

In episode #42, "Vikung-Fu - Cry of Anger", Battle Gyror, Blue Jet, Classic Robo, Combat Buggy, Countach Robo, Fire Robo, Mixer Robo, Porsche Robo, Pro Truck Racer, Rod Drill and Trailer Robo were attacking the downed Gandora mothership during a giant hail storm when they are attacked by missiles.

Note: In some English subtitled versions of the series he is called May or Nami. In some translations of the series he is portrayed as female.

Games

Triple Jim appears as a character in the 2004 Playstation 2 video game Super Robot Wars MX.[6]
