Tempest is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Cyclonus made by Keith's Fantasy Club in 2014.

Tempest is a homage to the Decepticon Cyclonus. He turns from robot to jet.

Development

This toy was originally developed under the name Cyberwinds. The name Tempest was suggested to Keith's Fantasy Club by Mathew Robert Ignash.

Tempest was displayed by Botcon 2014.

Preorders went up for Tempest in June 2014. It was estimated to come out in July 2014.

Tempest shipped in July 2014.

The WTF@TFW podcast for May 20th, 2014 selected Tempest as one of its New Picture Picks.[2]

The TransMissons podcast for June 3rd, 2014 discussed Tempest in the news.[3]

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for June 16th, 2014 discussed color images of Tempest in the news. The hosts thought the toy was unnecessary with the existance of the Hasbro Cyclonus figure, and one wished it was Masterpiece size.[4]

Tempest turns from robot to jet. He comes with two guns and a thug partner. Tempest stands 16 centimeters tall, a tall Deluxe to short Voyager size.
