Nutrition

To address the ongoing nutritional deficiencies of children in rural pockets attending school on an empty stomach, Sri Madhusudan Sai initiated a unique morning nutrition program in 2012. Later, he established the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in November 2015 with the vision, "Let no child go to school hungry, ever!". Today, this program is feeding millions of Indian government school-going children and thousands of overseas school-going children every day.[66][67] These morning servings also combat hidden hunger and promote the holistic development of the children through SaiSure.[68]

SaiSure is a Multi Nutrient Supplement Programme initiated by Sri Madhusudan Sai and launched in February 2019 by the Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust. This program has been designed to address the specific nutritional needs of pregnant women, toddlers, and children. The composition of SaiSure protein powder is meticulously formulated, considering the requirements of vital macronutrients and micronutrients essential for nurturing a healthy progeny that will develop into a robust adult in the future. SaiSure is available in four specialized variants: SaiSure for Toddlers, SaiSure for Pregnant Women, SaiSure for Children, and SaiSure for Pre-Schoolers.[69]
