Sambit Poddar (/'sʌmbit/; born December 10, 2005) is an Indian computer programmer. He founded the blockchain based file sharing platform Allobiter. He is also known for his contribution in the blockchain and Python PyPI community. Poddar is a prominent independent researcher who has a keen interest towards Mathematics. At the age of 18, he published his first research paper titled, Digital Prime Convergence: Exploring Prime Number Concatenation which was widely applauded.

Early life

Poddar was born on December 10, 2005, in Bongaigaon, India. Despite his young age, he showcased a remarkable talent for computers and programming from an early age. His passion for technology led him to start coding at the age of 10, and he quickly gained proficiency in multiple programming languages.

Education

Sambit received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Assam Engineering College. At an early age, Poddar demonstrated an exceptional understanding of complex mathematical concepts and remains to be one of the youngest person to propose a novel idea of a robust encryption algorithm named BitJya Algorithm based on intricate mathematical concepts and was adopted by many industries and organisations as an alternative to existing algorithms.

Career

Despite his young age, Poddar made a name for himself in the field of computer programming. Since the age of 15, he participated in many hackathons and hacking conferences like DEF CON showcasing his exceptional coding skills and problem-solving abilities. He is also considered as an active collaborated on several open-source projects in GitHub, contributing code and ideas to the global programming community. Sambit built an Ethereum interface named EthOrb that happened to be widely become one of the most preferred Ethereum interface. He is also credited for creating a meta search engine named "w3ber" that later got acquired by an unknown company.

Personal life

Sambit continues to be a major member of online coding forums and communities, where he keeps helping build and implementing impressive technological advances but his active participation gradually lowered after he founded Allobiter.

Legacy

Just in the early stages of his career, Poddar left a lasting impact on the programming community. Till this day, he is considered as an inspiration by youngsters.
