The first Transformers character named Ravage was introduced in 1984 as one of the original Decepticons. He was a bestial Decepticon who served under Soundwave as a Saboteur.

Fictional biography

Ravage operates best alone. A creature of the night. Craftiest of all Decepticons. Adept at devising deadly new strategies. Remains aloof from others, but his deeds command their respect. Can virtually escape detection -- emits an electromagnetic emission shield, has soundless walk, disappears in subdued light or shadow. Carries 2 powerful heat-seeking missiles. Light-sensitive. Can be blinded.

Fictional biography

Ravage wants you to know exactly where he is and what he is doing. An endless attention seeker, he can always be found perching from the top of the most visible structure, excitedly waving his little paw, hoping you catch a glimpse of him. Megatron has long since order his Decepticons to maintain eternal radio silence, not only because of the possibility of Autobot interference, but because Ravage won't stop sending radio communications, telling others his location and what his current mood is. Now that he's on Earth, he's become addicted to social networking and micro-blogging. Unsurprisingly, none of his fellow Decepticons have followed through on his friending requests.

Fun Publications

Ravage appeared in the Recordicons comic strip for April/May 2013. In this story Nightbeat tells Hosehead about how Wheeljack makes better legs than a torso while Soundwave and Ravage spy on them.
