Ranger (Transformers)
Ranger is a fictional character in the Transformers series. He is a heroic Autobot Godmaster introduced in 1988.

Transformers: Generation 1
In buggy mode, Ranger can take on any road, no matter how rough, while still keeping his cool. Can also drive underground as a subterranean investigation vehicle. Carries a Napalm Blaster. Can generate a "Heated Sand Attack" where flaming hot sandstorms come from his body, continuously attacking until his enemies' mechanics are turned to sand. Loves Earth's nature, and is well-learned in subjects such as geology and history. He is not afraid of everyday things, though he does not like insects, especially cockroaches.
Animated series
Ranger is depicted as a 17 year human male from Canada who becomes a Godmaster in the Masterforce series. Before joining the Autobots he was a Mountie.
In the Super God Masterforce animated series Ginrai appeared on TV in hopes of locating the remaining three Godmasters, to whom he would give the Master-Braces, Ginrai successfully located Lightfoot, Ranger and Road King, and recruited them to the Autobot side.[1]
In the Transformers: Zone animation the Autobot Godmasters were seen among other high-ranking Autobots (such as Road Caesar, Grand Maximus, Metalhawk, Landcross, and Lander) when Dai Atlas is sworn-in by Victory Saber as the new Supreme Commander of the Autobot forces.

In the Fun Publications Wings of Honor stories Ranger is depicted as a normal Cybertronian, not a human Godmaster. He is a member of the Elite Guard Fast Attack Team. He was killed by a battle with Bruticus.
