Protector (FansProject)
Protector is third party Transformer accessory set made by FansProject in 2010. It is intended to be an add-on for the Classic Rodimus mold. In 2012 an additional face for Protector was released by Dr. Wu and a reproduction of Protector was released by CHMS.

FansProject
Protector is a third party Transformers set intended to be an add-on for the Classic Rodimus mold, making him into Rodimus Prime.
Development
In January 2009 FansProject posted concepty images of Protector and the G3 Trailer on their web site.[1]
In October 2009 FansProject announced that the Protector would not be available until the first quarter of 2010.[2]
Preview pictures of Protector and Sidearm were posted to the internet by HK-TF in November 2010.[3]
Reception
The WTF@TFW podcast for January 9th, 2009 selected a picture of the Protector as one of the New Picture Picks.[4]
The WTF@TFW podcast for August 12th, 2010 selected pictures of the Protector comic as one of the New Picture Picks.[5]
The WTF@TFW podcast for September 23rd, 2010 selected pictures of the Protector prototype as one of the New Picture Picks.[6]

- An original third party Transformer mold by FansProject. Comes with Sidearm, instructions and comic.
- This toy was recolored into clear protector and remolded into Shadow Scythe.
