Port Au Princess launched her music career in 2021 after a fateful encounter with Grammy-nominated multi-platinum record producer John “SK” McGee. She crafts a unique sound that blends serene, honey-laced vocals with raw and authentic rap verses. Her debut EP, slated for release in the 2nd quarter of April, promises an unguarded, autobiographical approach that defies conventional boundaries.

Early Life And Education

Growing up in Naples’ Golden Gate neighborhood as the middle sibling among six, Port Au Princess found solace and inspiration in music amidst a tumultuous upbringing. Her parents, originally from Haiti, separated when she was young, leading to a period in foster care before reuniting with her father.

While excelling academically and athletically at Lely High School, where she was cheer captain, basketball standout, and track athlete, Port Au Princess nurtured her passion for music. She honed her skills by writing poetry and freestyle raps from an early age.

After high school, Port Au Princess embraced motherhood and pursued higher education, earning an Associate’s degree in general studies from Florida Southwestern State College. She later attended Florida Atlantic University, delving into Business studies before the challenges of 2020, including the loss of her father and the COVID-19 pandemic, led her to prioritize her musical aspirations.
