Masterarmor is a fictional character made by Xovergen in 2012 as a third party Transformer. He is an homage to the 1987 Transformers character Powermaster Optimus Prime.

Xovergen

Masterarmor is a third party Transformer trailer homage to Optimus Prime. It's intended to attach to either Generation 1 Powermaster Optimus Prime or Classic Voyager Optimus Prime's cabs.

Other third party Transformer homage to Optimus Prime include Junkion Blacksmith's Justice Leader and TFClub's Optiaim.

Development

Xovergen first teased Trailerforce with blurred prototype pictures in October of 2011.[1]

In March of 2012 Xovergen posted prototype photos to the internet of Trailerforce in robot mode with both Henkei Convoy and Powermaster Optimus Prime cabs.[2]

In September of 2012 Xovergen released color product photos of Trailerforce with Henkei Convoy.[3]

Trailerforce went on preorder from Robot Kingdom, with an estimated shipping date of October of 2012.

Masterarmor shipped in January of 2013.

Reception

The WTF@TFW podcast for March 15th, 2012 selected a picture of Masterarmor as one of the New Picture Picks.[4]

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for March 28th, 2012 discussed the Masterarmor as part of their Third Party Roundup.[5]

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for May 31st, 2012 discussed the Masterarmor as part of their Third Party Roundup.[6]

In the Radio Free Cybertron podcast for January 30th, 2013 the Masterarmor shipping was mentioned in the third party roundup.[7]

An original mold third party Transformer. Turns from trailer to base to robot. Intended to work with the Classic Voyager Optimus Prime or Generation 1 Powermaster Optimus Prime truck. Includes two cannons, two guns, collector card and instructions.
