Kellie Chauvin is an American radiology technician and former Mrs Minnesota beauty pageant.[1]

She arrived in the USA as a refugee from South-east Asia, from the Hmong ethnic group. Her 2010 marraige to police officer Derek Chauvin was her second. She has two children from her first marraige.

In late May, 2020, her husband was captured, on a bystander's cell phone's video, methodically killing an unarmed suspect by holding his knee on the suspect's neck. The video went viral, triggering outrage and protest, around the world.

Within days of the incident false information had been circulated about her, and she is reported to have received death threats, as a consequence. Kellie filed for divorce three days after the incident. She did not request spousal support, even though she was currently out of work.
