On October 10, 2008, Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg renamed 84 streets, in honor of first responders who died serving the city on 9-11.[4] Palazzo was one of those honored.

On October 21, 2016, the Coast Guard opened a multipurpose facilty name Jeff Palazzo Hall, in his honor.[1][5] The facility included berthing space for small boats, offices, and a gymnasium.

On November 10, 2019, Mayor De Blazio delivered remarks to honor Palazzo and Vincent Danz, another Coast Guard reservist who died on 9-11, who also had a Coast Guard cutter named after him.[6][7][8]
