Transformers: Generation 1
Growl is a member of the Decepticon Micromaster Military Patrol. He is a dim and simplistic bully. Like all the members of the military patrol he seeks to replace Bombshock as leader, but he does so just because the other members do, and he doesn't want to seem inferior to them. He is not very creative and is highly impressionable.
In Japan the toy was released with the same name, but as an Autobot.
