Fumina Beta/Marina Lopez

The MM-CDF-βD(Beta Daughter)-0II "Fumina β"" is the titular mecha featured in my 2019 fanfic Mobile Suit Maiden Fumina β. Created by Meredith Goddess using blueprints from the City Defense Force and her daughter, Alicia's DNA, Fumina β is piloted by Marina Lopez, the angst-ridden protagonist of the story, who, along with her mother, Cassandra, uses it in her battles with Clarissa Fraulein, her longtime tormentor. It is based on the Super Fumina model kit created by Bandai. Later, it is revealed that Mrs. Goddess intended for Fumina β to be a "artificial machine daughter" for use by herself and Clarissa, but was modified for combat by the CDF.

Appearance

Fumina β, like the Lohengrin and Gyanko Σ, is a rather human-like mobile suit. It somewhat resembles Marina, sporting orange-yellow hair and beige plating resembling human skin. Its most distinctive features are the scars on its one of its eyes, right breast, and bare abdomen, which seems to imply that the suit had been in combat before Marina had discovered it. In the second chapter, "Internal Cosmos", Fumina β received a change in appearance after assimilating the Shine Beamer. Not only has the suit repaired itself, losing its scars completely, but it also now sports a, red and yellow color scheme along with an almost angelic look. In the third chapter, "Cessum Beta Ypsilon", Amuro Ray upgrades Fumina β into the eponymous "Fumina Cosmic βΥ-0019" or "Fumina Re-VZ(pronounced "Revise")" using pieces from an old AMX-004 Qubeley.
