F-4 Phantom is a fictional character made by TFC Toys as a third party Transformer. He is an homage to the Generation 1 Transformer Fireflight.

TFC Toys

F-4 Phantom is an homage to Generation 1 Fireflight. He had the same alternate mode and color scheme as Fireflight.

He combines with the other members of his team for form Uranos, where he becomes the right arm.

He should not be confused with another third party Transformer toy, the Phantom of Screamer Set.

Development

In June 2012 TFC Toys posted prototype pictures of F-4 Phantom and F-15 Eagle on their Weibo page.[2]

In July 2012 preorders for F-4 Phantom went up at Robot Kingdom.[3]

In September 2012 TFC Toys posted color images of F-4 Phantom on their Facebook page.[4]

A promotional photo of F-4 Phantom displayed them as a combiner with two F-4 Phantom arms, two F-15 Eagle legs, and Dr. Crank and Heavy Labor as the body.

Reception

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for June 28th, 2012 discussed F-4 Phantom as part of the Third Party Roundup.[5]

The WTF@TFW podcast for August 2nd, 2012 selected pictures of TFC Toys F-4 Phantom and Eagle as New Picture Picks.[6]

In the WTF@TFW podcast for December 7th, 2012 Gogdog selected the combined form of Uranos as one of the New Picture Picks.[7]

In the Fwooshcast podcast for December 8th, 2012 one of the hosts talked about the F-4 Phantom he recently bought.[8]
