Dr. Ivan Rusilko (born 3 March 1984 in Meadville, Pennsylvania) is a renowned physician, author, and fitness model known for his holistic approach to medicine and lifestyle optimization. Graduating from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in 2010, he earned the Dean's Award for his exemplary character and academic achievements. Rusilko's journey into medicine began with an accelerated program at Mercyhurst College, where he received his BA in Health (Biology) in conjunction with LECOM.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education

Rusilko was born, Matthew Ivan Rusilko, on March 3, 1984 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Rusilko was educated at Meadville Area Senior High School and graduated in 2002. In 2005, he received his undergraduate degree at Mercyhurst College with a BA in Health Biology. In 2010 he obtained his DO at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). He was awarded the Dean's Award by LECOM in 2010.[1][5][6]

Dr. Ivan Rusilko pursued his medical education at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), where he graduated with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2010. Prior to this, he completed an accelerated program at Mercyhurst College, earning a BA in Health (Biology) as part of a unique 3+4 year program, which provided automatic acceptance into medical school. Rusilko's academic journey began with his high school diploma from Meadville Area Senior High School in 2002.

Before delving into the medical field, Rusilko explored various other interests and endeavors. He obtained certifications as a Sport Nutritionist from the American Fitness Training of Athletes (AFTA) and underwent extensive training in medical specialties such as Medical Weight Management and Anti-Aging/HRT Modalities through Empire Medical Training. Additionally, Rusilko pursued his passion for scuba diving, obtaining certifications as a Rescue Diver/CPR and Master Scuba Diver.

Career

Dr. Ivan Rusilko's professional career reflects his diverse interests and expertise. He has worked in various capacities, from medical institutions like the Miami Institute Four Seasons to lifestyle-focused ventures such as Lifestyle Medicine Miami Beach and Plasticity Miami Beach. Rusilko's commitment to holistic well-being is evident in his establishment of Balls Deep Living Adventure Club, which promotes a balanced approach to health and lifestyle. Beyond his medical practice, Rusilko has also made significant contributions to the literary world as a published novelist. His trilogy, "The Winemakers Dinner," showcases his creative talent and storytelling prowess. Additionally, Rusilko has utilized his event coordination skills to organize high-profile events for clients ranging from sports teams like the Miami Heat to esteemed organizations like the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Rusilko has served in Dr. Ivan Rusilko Lifestyle Medicine[7] in Miami Beach, FL since 2012. In 2013, Rusilko co-founded and served as Medical Director of Club Essensia.[8] Rusilko has also worked at The Miami Institute for Age Management and Intervention in 2012. He was appointed as Guest Professor at Lake Erie College of Medicine in March 2011. He has also served as Clinical Professor at Empire Medical Training in March – December 2011.[1][9][10]

Publications

In 2012, Rusilko published The Winemaker's Dinner Trilogy.[11] The Winemaker’s Dinner: Appetizers[12] and The Winemaker’s Dinner: Entrée[13] were co-authored with Everly Drummond and the final book in the series, "The Winemaker's Dinner: Dessert"[12] was a solo effort of Rusilko. Carnival de Amor[14] was released in 2014, and is a Spanish translation of the first book the series by the co-authors.[15][16][17][18] Rusilko has also authored various articles in the Washington Times.[19][20][1][21][22]
