Dr. Haruma Gō is a scientist featured in the Transformers franchise.

History

Dr. Gō features in the first two episodes of Transformers: Super-God Masterforce, where he is featured as an ally of the Autobot Pretenders and the father of Shuta Gō. He assists the Autobots in their efforts to monitor and counter the Decepticon Pretenders, though often suggests to Metalhawk that it may be necessary to use "them," presumably referring to the Autobot Transtectors. Sadly, he is later fatally injured when Bomb-Burst leads an attack on his observatory, and soon dies after giving Shuta a mysterious key.

"Ask Vector Prime" later revealed that Haruma's association with the Autobots went back further than Masterforce, and that he was part of the creative team behind the Raiden Initiative that produced the Trainbots. Haruma created the superstructures of the Trainbots and brought his youthful energy to the research team, and was allowed to name the Trainbot whose alternate mode was based on the most advanced train model. In honor of the winds of his home in Hokkaido, Haruma gave the Autobot the name of Yukikaze.
