Dr. Fujiyama is a character from the Transformers franchise, usually the Transformers: Generation 1 continuity family.

History

Generation 1

Animated series

Dr. Fujiyama first appears as the inventor of Nightbird, a giant robot in the image of a female Ninja that he programmed with advanced martial arts skills and equipped with powerful weaponry. Unfortunately, the machine is stolen by the Decepticons and reprogrammed by Megatron and used against the Autobots, successfully besting Optimus Prime in one engagement. The Autobots were eventually able to recapture her and return her to Fujiyama, who deactivated her and placed her in stasis, though her glowing eyes suggested that she might not be as helpless as she appeared.

3H Enterprises

Fujiyama would appear years later under threat from an army of Nightbird drones, the origins of which were unknown. Several Autobots, including Arcee, Daniel Witwicky, and Wheelie, arrived to rescue him, and were later joined by the Autobot Targetmasters and their partners. Fujiyama was safely evacuated to safety, but the battle resulted in the deaths of Daniel and Wheelie after the latter was badly wounded and the pair of them were cut off from escape, prompting Daniel to set off an explosive that killed them and their attackers.

Fun Publications

"Ask Vector Prime" later revealed that Fujiyama was part of the team who created the Trainbots, with his role being the writing of their combat protocols. [1]
