Sayed Sayedy (born September 18, 1992) is an Afghan life coach, mediator, and peace activist and he has been residing in Germany since 2015. He organizes intercultural coaching workshops where he offers special training associated with refugee work to helpers, supervisors, teachers, and pedagogues.[1]

Early Life and Education

Sayed Sayedy was born on September 18, 1992, he was raised and grew up in Parwan Province, Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban. He studied sociology and social work and during his school and university years, he was engaged in youth development and youth empowerment and worked as a trainer at the DVV International Institute until 2013. [1] In 2014 he worked as a trainer and cultural facilitator at Bagram Air Base with his goals to reduce the misunderstanding and disputes among people belonging to diverse cultures, he also trained as an IT specialist. He traveled to several countries for gender equality promotion and settled in Munich, Germany in 2015.[2]

Career and Social Commitment

He worked as a translator and intercultural facilitator for the international NATO security force ISAF, where he also trained as an IT specialist until 2014. Alongside his mother, he campaigned for human rights and especially for women‘s rights. This is why he left his homeland and came to Munich at the start of 2015. During this time, he was active as a cultural facilitator to minimize difficulties and misunderstandings. He studied MTD (Master in Training and Development) at the University of Salzburg and specialized in training, leadership, and coaching from 2019 to 2021. He is working as a freelance trainer and communications coach in the intercultural field. He is working full-time for the project “HEROES – Against Suppression in the Name of Honour” in Munich and in a voluntary capacity as a migration and integration counselor. He assists refugees in asylum matters or with integration on the job market, other projects he is active in include “KINO ASYL“, “UNSER.FILM“, “Cinema, Cinema!” and he also supports educational and civilian peace projects in Afghanistan and Cambodia. He organizes intercultural coaching workshops where he offers special training associated with refugee work to helpers, supervisors, teachers, and pedagogues. As he believes everyone associated with the refugee incorporation task must be prepared for effective integration. He has been toiling for refugees and migrants for many years and he is passionate to see that every refugee from different nations is embraced into German society. [6] [10]
