History
Originally founded by domain broker/seller Mr. M Etheridge, the website underwent several developmental phases. In December 1998, a holding page was established,[1] which remained until March 2000 when a banner display site was introduced.[2] This iteration remained until May 2002, when a more contemporary boat sales portal was launched.[3]
In February 2009, the website reverted to a holding page until April 2013, when the domain was acquired by a father and son team, Mr. D Green and Mr. M Green. Subsequently, in July 2015, a new fully automated boat sales portal was integrated.[4] This version operated for over three years until it was upgraded to a modernized platform in July 2018.[5]
In May 2020, the management of the site transitioned to the newly established MG Media Group LTD.[6] Under their stewardship, MG Media Group significantly improved the site's search engine rankings and brand recognition. In August 2022, the website was honored with the "Boat Dealership of the Year 2022/23" award at the South England Prestige Awards.[7]
