Battleflex is a fictional character from the Machine Robo series introduced in 1986. He is sentient, but non-transforming, car. He the friend of Rom Stol and serves as his personal vehicle.

Machine Robo

Battleflex, often called Flex, is the loyal, sentient, non-transforming, car driven by Rom Stol. He has expanding tires which can tackle any terrain.

Animated series

Ziggy meets Battleflex in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos episode 2, "Wolf Sword! Call Forth the Thunder of Courage!"

In episode 2, "Wolf Sword! Call Forth the Thunder of Courage!" Rom and friends attended the funeral of his father, where Rom called Battleflex took on a quest to follow the Wolf Sword's directions to oppose the Gandora threat to Cronos. This quest would lead the companions to Sado fortress with the Wolf Crest which attacked by Grujious and the Devil Satan 6. Rom and friends were captured by the Gandora when the people of the fortress betrayed them, but a Battleflex and a boy named Ziggy free them.[1]

In episode 3 "Steal the Metal Laster!", Rom Stol and his friends were traveling when Rod Drill fell into an acid swamp, which caused him to rust. The group traveled to the nearby village of Vira in an attempt to get water to clean Rod. The village was attacked by the Devil Satan 6, who were looking for the Metal Laster for Gades, which was rumored to cure rust and aging. Rom battled the 6, but they got away with a jug which they thought contained the Metal Laster. Luckily the jug contained acid from the swamp. Rod was cured of his rust by the real Metal Laster, and they made a friends with the people of the village, particularly Min, the daughter of the village chief. [2]

Battleflex appeared in episode 4, "Devil Trap - The Enslaved Village".[3]

Battleflex appeared in episode 5, "Hot Fight at Absolute Zero!".[4]

Battleflex appeared in episode 6, "The Rock People and Mizuchi the Mysterious Dragon".[5]

Battleflex appeared in episode 7, "Sofia, Warrior Woman of the Leo Clan".[6]

Battleflex appeared in episode 9, "Dash Out, Tank Trancer!".[7]

In episode 19, "Race to the Death!" Rom Stol and Battleflex narrowly lost the race at Momo to Rod Drill.[8]

Battleflex appeared in episode 27, "The Magic Mountain Knight Maskrock". In the episode Battleflex was part of a Yamilan City volunteer group lead by Rom Stol that went to retrieve the Metal Laster cure for Gandora rust poison gas which has effected Reina and some school children.[9]

Note: In some English subtitles of the series Battleflex is called Felix.
