Azalea is a proposed fictional character and third party Transformer created by Mastermind Creations as an homage to the 1986 Transformer Autobot Arcee.

Azalea is a proposed is a third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Arcee created by Mastermind Creations.

Azalea turns into a Cybertronian car and is modeled after Arcee as she appeared in the IDW Publishing comics.

Other third party homages to Arcee include Rabid Squirrels's A.R.C., Impossible Toys' Valkyrie, iGear's Delicate Warrior and Perfect Effect's RC.

Development

Azalea was designed by Eric Chan.

Azalea was first teased by Mastermind Creations as part of of their Feral Rex development under the name Sixer. They later posted on their Facebook page that it was a possible design for the future.

In June 2013 PlanetSteelExpress released renders of Mastermind Creations Azalea and Parapax Zinnia.[1]

The Azalea toy was displayed at the Captured Prey Third Party at Botcon in June 2013.[2]

Images of Azalea were previewed at TFcon 2013's Third Party Panel.[3]

Azalea Stealth Assassin was released at the Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention 2014.

Reception

The WTF@TFW podcast for April 4th, 2013 selected color pictures of Feral Rex as one of the New Picture Picks. They mentioned Sixer and the April Fool's joke by Mastermind Creations.[4]

In the Cybercast podcast for April 6th, 2013 the hosts talked about the Mastermind Creations Azalea in the news.[5]

In the moonbase2 podcast for April 10th, 2013 Feral Rex, Sixer and Azalea were one of the topic discussed.[6]
