Anton Ojala is a New Zealand career diplomat.[1] In 2022 he is the New Zealand High Commissioner to the Caribbean.[2][3]
In 2009 Ojala was the New Zealand High Commissioner to Niue, requesting support for the recovery of the island from the effects of Cyclone Heta.[4]
During his time in Barbados he was instrumental in engaging with local Muslim leaders following the Christchurch mosque shootings,[5] and has encouraged Barbados to become part of the Carbon Neutrality Coalition.[6] He led on providing financial support for Barbuda following Hurricane Irma,[7] and has worked to bring New Zealand and Barbados together through their share membership of the Commonwealth.[8]
