WebRatio is a European IT company headquartered in Milan|Milan, Italy. It offers a low-code development platform for rapid web and mobile applications development for medium and large companies that enable the digitalization of business processes.[1][2] As of 2020, WebRatio operates out of four offices - Milan and Como in Italy, San Francisco in the U.S., and Cuenca, Ecuador|Cuenca in Ecuador.[1][2]

History & Operations

WebRatio was founded in 2001 as a spin-off of the Politecnico di Milano[2] to find a way to develop application faster than coding, and it formalized the modeling language WebML. During the first nine years, it largely worked with companies in Italy and other parts of Europe. Thereafter, the company expanded its presence to other markets including the U.S. and South America.

Awards & Achievements

In July 2017, WebRatio received the Digital360 Awards with Semioty winning the Special Digital Transformation Award.[3] It is a part of NExT4Things, the first business network of the ComoNExT innovation hub in Lomazzo.[2] The company also developed IFML (Interaction Flow Modeling Language), which was adopted as an international standard by OMG (Object Management Group) in March 2013.[1][4]
