Gregory Rashawn Bradley (born November 4, 1998), better known by his stage name Rad Luck is a musical artist, singer, and songwriter. He is well known for his songs "Blood Money"[1] and "Don't get 2 Close"[2] from his debut Mixtape Knightmares to Sweet Dreams,[3] which gained a lot of recognition on his SoundCloud[4] in 2019.[5]

Early life

Gregory Rashawn Bradley was born on November 4, 1998 in Charlotte, North Carolina and was raised on the north side of the city. He attended Mallard Creek High School. There, he decided he wanted to pursue a career in entertainment.

Rad Luck grew up skateboarding, watching Anime and doing photography as a hobby which eventually led to him pursuing music. His interests growing up inspire his music style.

Career

2016–2018: beginnings

Rad Luck began his career as a photographer under the name Oldirtydurag and changed it to Rad Luck soon after when he started rapping. He began his career as a musician the Summer of 2016 with a few friends of his from high school and put his first song on Soundcloud. He got his first songs produced by RXLVND and Milanmakesbeats, which helped introduce him to the thriving scene of underground hip hop. As his name grew so did his Instagram[6] and other social media platforms.

2019: "Blood Money", "Don't Get 2 Close" and Knightmares to Sweet Dreams

Rad Luck began to release songs as well as direct and edit his own music videos[7][8][9] and first gained attention in 2019 from Lyrical Lemonade with his single "Blood Money".[10][1] He then released "Don't Get 2 Close[11]"[2] and "Slime[12]"[13] , which also gained attention from Lyrical Lemonade, and later on in the year released his debut Mixtape Knightmares to Sweet Dreams[3] . These songs continued to chart Soundcloud, where he's gained over 2 million streams in total.

2020-Present: "NO FOLLOW UPS", "Anti-Rebel," and Abstract Paradise

The single "Anti-Rebel" was released March 5th, 2020[14]

Rad Luck announced on March 21 on his Instagram Page[15] that he will be releasing a new project later this year, the release date has not yet been set.

The single "NO FOLLOW UPS" which is produced by RXLVND was released April 8, 2020.[16][17]

Musical style

Rad Luck is well known for his Lyricism[2] and collective styles from the underground soundcloud community. He calls his music "Jugg Music" and his Fan Base "Rad Luck Militia".[18]" His songs are known to be hard hitting and have "Pleasing sounds".[2] Lyrical Lemonade calls Rad Luck an artist that can "just simply rap better than most of his competition".[2] His sound is fine tuned by the melodic instrumentals he uses as well as the self produced instrumentals he makes that "always sounds flawless".[19] Rad Luck's music is influenced by Playboi carti, Chief Keef, Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West, and Gucci Mane.
