Papa Gino's is an Italian restaurant based in Melbourne, Australia. The family owned business opened in 1973 on Lygon Street, Carlton[1][2][3] in the heart of Melbourne's Little Italy,[4][5] where the restaurant has remained since under the same family ownership.[6] The restaurant is known for its large sized portions, value for money[7] and its casual setting.[8]

The restaurant stated its support for the Tobacco Amendment Act 2016 which effected the Tobacco Act 1987, banning smoking in all outdoor dining areas in the vicinity of food, which came into effect in August 2017.[9][10] The restaurant also states that the limited parking on Lygon street factors in the street's popularity decline as a destination,[11] stating that they wrote letters on multiple occasions to former lord mayor of Melbourne Robert Doyle regarding the matter.[12]
