Mantax is a fictional character and an original third party Transformer made by BMOG.

BMOG

Mantax is an original third party Transformer made by BMOG. He is not an homage to any existing character, but meant to be used as either a stand-alone figure, or as accessories to any toy capable of using 5mm port accessories.

Development

Mantax was designed by Trent Troop. He announced it online on various message boards in October 2013. Initially the name was spelled Mantaxe.

Reception

The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for October 25th, 2013 interviewed Trent Troop about BMOG, where he mentioned Ursenal, Mantax and Featherblight as well as simple one-piece weapons that become a dimetrodon, ichthyosaur and pterodactyl.

Fictional biography

The evil Mantax was brought to life when weapons made by a group of evil interdimensional arms dealers were exposed to the power of the last world seed. He is a member of the Paraxxoids and rival of the heroic Ursenal.
