Early Life

Wendy-Lynn McClean grew up in Warrenton, Virginia. Before she caught the photography bug, she thought she wanted to be a doctor and so was a volunteer EMT for the local rescue squad while in High School. She began working at a young age, first babysitting then fast food, where she learned the value of hard work.

Career

While a product leader today, Wendy-Lynn started her career as a photojournalist for Reuters. She started her career on the newswire editing the news when Clinton was campaigning for President and the World Cup in the US was going on simultaneously. She ramped up quickly on covering breaking news. When news became popular on all websites, she moved to a desk focused on launching Reuters B2C products for news on the internet. After editing the photographs from the genocide in Rwanda, Wendy-Lynn took time off to focus on a career in international relations. While working in Tanzania she realized she wanted to give back to communities by helping to empower local entrepreneurs. Eventually, that turned into a passion for training underrepresented PMs, particularly Black PMs. That has led her to where she is today, coaching PMs across the world. Technology has made it possible for her to coach PMs as far afield as London, Taiwan, Kenya, and Nigeria from her desk in Kirkwood, California.

Today, Wendy-Lynn is the Founder of intrico.io a product management coaching company that leverages a strong leadership background to mentor and coach professionals to help them reach their full potential. With a deep passion for building, leading, and mentoring exceptional teams of product innovators, Intrico.io has consistently pushed the boundaries of technological advancement and product development.

Through her work, she's been featured in publications like LA Weekly, TechTimes, HackerNoon, Digital Journal, American Reporter and many more.
