Go Travel is a British family business founded in 1978 with the World's first Travel Accessory collection.[1] Originally designed for the British holiday traveller as they discovered package holidays abroad. The company's pioneering spirit and commitment to industry-leading designs have continued to define the company over the past 45 years. Since conception, the company's ethos was to solve legitimate travel problems with well designed, attractively packaged, test, certified and well priced products.[2]

Today, Go Travel is a global success, with sales of over 15,000 units every day and more than 300 million units sold to date. The company offers a range of over 200 products, drawing on more than 45 years of experience in the travel accessories industry. Go Travel has five warehouses and is sold in over 150 countries, with factories manufacturing its products around the world.[3][4][5]

Design

Designed in London since 1978, Go Travel's multi-disciplined in-house team specialise in Product, Graphic and Packaging design.[6]

Brand Journey – Family of Brands

Throughout the years the brand mark has evolved. During its formative years the company's Brand, "Go - Travel Products", with its distinctive red stand-alone 'Go' logo proliferated. As the company continued to emphases product design and packaging, in 2000 the entire design process was brought in-house and the “Design Go” mark emerged, with "Go" obviously being the prominent element. Then in 2011, the business was modernised yet again and the family of marks updated to its latest re-iteration "Go Travel".

Testing and Legislation

Go Travel is committed to providing safe and reliable travel accessories to customers around the world, and this commitment extends to compliance with global legislation and regulations. To achieve this, the company conducts in-depth research into the latest directives and works with knowledgeable suppliers, laboratories, and experts to ensure that its products comply with all applicable regulations. Sustainability

Go Travel is committed to reducing its environmental impact by 2025 through the redesign of all product packaging to ensure it can be fully recycled. The company aims to remove all single-use plastic and reduce 85-95% of plastic used in packaging.

Currently, up to 50% of the Comfort Category and 44-50% of the Electrical Category products have had their plastic packaging reduced by 100%, and all Single Adaptor plastic packaging is made of 90% PET blister with a non-FSC paper label.

By 2025, all Single Adaptor plastic packaging will be reduced by 80% to a recyclable PET Pin Cover and FSC certified card. 75% of all Electrical products have had single-use plastic packing material removed, which is equivalent to a 100% reduction in plastic.
