Sheikh Niloy
Sheikh Niloy is an actor, writer, & producer, and is the CEO of Soul Sentinel Productions, an entertainment company based in New York, USA.
Personal
Born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh, he later moved to NYC, at 18, to pursue his acting career. He is a versatile actor with a strong foundation in the Method and Meisner approach, honed through training with acclaimed mentors Susan Batson and John Desotelle. This unique skill set has propelled him into prominent roles in independent films, TV shows, and theater productions in the vibrant artistic scene of New York City.
Notable credits include his portrayal of 'Sahir' in "Narcissists of New York City," where he brought depth and authenticity to his character. He also demonstrated his playful side as 'Puck' in "Once Upon a Dream" and took on the complex role of 'Adam' in "Adam and Eve."
He is the creator of "Narcissists of New York City," a 12-episode sitcom highlighting generational narcissism, narcissism affects, and narcissistic types in a comedic setting; created to make use of comedy’s power to educate, entertain, and heal.
It was important to Sheikh that a Bengali-American perspective be highlighted through one of the central characters- ‘Sahir’, owing to the extreme lack of Bengali-American representation in Hollywood.
It’s his hope that his show will encourage other Bengali-Americans and people of South-Asian descent to pursue a career in Arts and Entertainment, while promoting the fight against narcissism.
